Hey guys,
Im just starting out with xfilesharing pro. After reading in the forum a lot of people are recommending 100tb.com as a host so that's what I chose.
Which package with which specs would you recomend from 100tb if I have a budget of 150 - 200$/ month ?
Thanks again, John |

there is only 1 option at 100tb.com in your budget i.e. ember
you don't need any suggestions |

Yeah get the cheapest 100tb package
Any thing I recommend is getting one of fdc's atom servers and simply adding a 1gbps connection to it ( under 200$ a month ) |

You can also check out leaseweb.com with their 100 tb packages
The only problem with these 100 tb offers is that getting extra harddrives is very expensive... 500 gb fills up very fast.
you can try fdcservers with their specials too
http://forum.fdcservers.net/showthread.php?t=5380
you can get 1 gbit for 99$/mo for the first 3 months with this special
only problem is that the server will probably be in denver dc.. which keeps getting slower and slower outside of the usa :/
if you want to start out cheaper you can also get a 1 gbit box from rapidspeeds or evoboxes for 50 euros/month. |

100tb got some of the best transit links too international in the .us
FDC does not.
Space depends on your niche
Small files or big files |

| What about Terms of service.... most don´t allow certain types of files to be uploaded to their servers and we can´t control it all. Whats the risk in this? Anyone been banned before? |

You have to act on dmca notices within 48 hrs.
My suggestion, hold off. Especially if you are paying users.
- If your budget is a max of $200 (not even enough to add a control panel or monitoring software), how are you going to pay users?
- You wont be making premium sales, so how are you going to buy upgrades for servers? The two 500gb hard drives are going to fill fast. Especially if you're paying users and the Ember server cannot handle anymore then the default 2 drives. You will need to go to the Flame. Your site wont be making anything at that point. It will all be out of pocket. |
