Direct Link Generation Problems!

Error happened when generating Download Link.
Please try again or Contact administrator.
(ERROR:mkdir)

This happens when I try to generate a link with my system..
Sometimes it does generate the link but very often it wont..

Please help because server load is extremely heavy with it.

mkdir error means that it doesnt have permision to create a temp map or a directory

check file permisions that they are on 777

in case that is already then i cant help :s

Also check that your cron.pl is added to crontab to run every 60 mins or so. Cause otherwise temp links won't be delete from files/ folder and this could cause this error.
So go clean your files folder and set up cronjob.
