| The system requirements state that it is optional to use a GD lib and GD perl module. Is there are limitation if these modules are not installed? I am planning to use XFile Sharing on a server that does not have these modules pre-installed - and is apparently very messy to upgrade based on numerous web postings. The server is running Mac OS X 10.5.1. It does not look like 10.5.2 will include GD either. |

U can turn off GD, or set to numbers which doesnt need GD installed on your system. It can be done easly using settings in admin panel on XFS 1.2 dont know how about XFS 1.1
If u wish not to use GD lib than your code will not be as an image but it would be as a text.

| Yes, GD requires for graphic captcha only. If no GD - it's ok, everything will be working fine. |
