image mod problem ( and a question)

hi,
i got a small problem with image mod

and it get solved if i disable dublicate links but if i keep it on then uploaded images refuse to generate the image for the image mod

to provide a example

1.jpg is my old file , it show a image not found image ( setting)

i upload it again to get the direct link

it still shows the same error

i disable the dublicate link

now it works


then i got a second question
my files get deleted after 15 days , but does that count for images to ??
or are images excluded from that part
