I purchased Xfilesahring yesterday. I followed the instructions and completed installation. I have the following problems:

1. No status bar, just ...initializing upload then a "Transfer Complete" message.

2. Files are not uploaded.

How do I access the admin screen. There is no information in the instructions on how to setup the page.

Will the uploads work if I put the upload page in a password protected directory?

I sent an email to support yesterday and have not recieved a reply.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hello? Hello!!! Smile
PM me FTP details, I will fix ASAP if possible.
I think there's problem with upload.cgi or there's mod_security enabled.

Sorry to drag up an old post, but I just installed the free version wanting to try it prior to buying the pro version and am having the exact same problem. I tried to send a pm but this forum shows that pm's have been disabled.

So long story short, you select your file, it shows its initializing but then goes to transfer complete before it actually uploads the file. It sounds like a common issue based on the forums but I am unsure what the cause is and how you have fixed it in the past. It may have something to do with my permissions as I am not allowed to chmod to 777, I have to select 775 instead. Will the script still work using 775 rather than 777?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Scratch that last post. My path to temp folder and upload folder was ...www/temp rather than the correct ...www/cgi-bin/temp.
