Question about switching to new domain...

So if i switched to a new domain, what will happen to the links people already made with my old domain? will they all stop working?
How could I make it still work when i switch to the new domain?

and ofcourse don't re-install the script, but keep the database. I don't know if the fileservers update automatically, shoot an e-mail to support with that.
