Video Encoding Mod?

Does anyone know of a video encoding mod that doesn't replace the original upload with the encoded mp4/flv file? I would like to keep the original file for download. Something like this:

Sibsoft coder or other perl coder could do this easy.

Means you need need to change your vanilla XFS code.
So future updates will be harder to implement.
