Sorry if I disorder but I would like to ask administrators if they can recommend a web hosting (possibly free) compatible with xfilesharing.
I tried for several days hosting a compatible but I could not find it.

If it's trying to download script - that does mean that your server doesnt support Perl.

The post just before yours has the answer.

http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/simple-installation-instructions-on-vps-t3227.html

You can see it in action on the server that I did the "Simple 10 minute install" on. http://send.bigfil.es

I honestly don't know that you're going to be able to find a free or even shared hosting environment that it will work in. It's been my experience that free and shared hosting accounts don't have the requirements this script needs to run. And for a good reason.

However it works like a charm if you have your own dedicated server or VPS.

I will admit that it did take me quite a while to figure out the install. The instructions that it comes with isn't very clear. That's why I rewrote and posted the instructions.

Hope they will work for you. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

If you get a download instead of a page, and you are sure Perl is supported, there clearly is a mimetype issue.

Also make sure CGI scripts are located in the cgi-bin folder, which is the default in most cases.

What should be and what is aren't always the same...Cool

If a hosting provider doesn't allow something it's usually because of it's cost.

If you follow the directions exactly as I posted them and it doesn't work they may have something shut off. And if they are a free host chances are they won't be going out of their way for you.

For me it was just taking the time to figure out where all the folders went and making sure all of the slashes were in the right places in the config file for the temp and upload files.
