Big Files: XUpload will stop and TEMP-Folder is empty ...

#1 Postby hansemannk » Oct 21, 2007 8:13 am

hello "xupload-friends",

i'm very frustrated, because xupload pro (latest stable version from saturday) doesn't work fine.

no problems for files smaller than ca. 9-12mb, but it's "funny": if i will upload a file with f.e. 90mb, sometimes after 28mb, sometimes after 51mb, 42mb,... the script stopped working, ... sometimes with the message "Upload failed!", sometimes with nothing ...

i've tested with cyberduck (MAC OS X FTP-Explorer) it's possible to upload files with 600mb (i did not test larger files yet) ;-)

i've tested all of the 4 templates, but in the moment i don't see differences.

my client config: mac os x (10.4.8), firefox (2.0.0.8 - latest stable version), or safari (2.0.4 / 419.3).

yesterday i had a call to with the support-team of the provider (personal support-coworker) and he told me, with http the upload is 8mb, and with ftp "it's free".

so, what can i do to find out the problems?

i need the "big-files-upload" for my customers.

@PilgrimX182: i'll send you the link for the upload-file with a pm.

regards hans

EDIT: if i will upload a file, the file is in the temp-folder and grow up. when the upload stops (during the upload), the temp file is deleted.

here the latest log-file:

and he told me, with http the upload is 8mb, and with ftp "it's free"
Not sured what you mean - they told with HTTP upload maximum upload size is 8 Mb? XUpload use HTTP upload, not FTP. So it's probably your server limitation. But then not sured how 25Mb working :) To debug script you can comment style for 'xupload' iframe in HTML and see error there if script failed.
