You need to make sure the application is in a directory under your main website space that can be accessed from the world. I would set the directory permissions to 755 to start with. You also need to have permission to execute CGI scripts, and sometimes that is restricted to certain directories - such as the /cgi-bin directory. Your webserver or host also has to be configured to allow script execution - if you don't run your own server you should look at what they are giving you.

Alex will install the application for you if you ask him, but I would assume you would be expected to register it for the favor. Might as well - the cost is reasonable.

Just as a follow-up for anyone who experienced (due to lack of experience) the same issue as me!

The manual is not clear on this point!

To run install.cgi the browser must point to website/cgi-bin/install.cgi

Example: www.mywebsite.com/cgi-bin/communimail/install.cgi

After that, it's all very easy!

(Thanks Alex!)
