[Feature Request] Creating Copy

#1 Postby mastypk » Jul 25, 2010 2:25 pm

Hello,

Is it possible to create copy of existing file with just 1 click. Most file hosting are offering this.

Waiting for some response.

Oh, I already know this feature.

Actually I am talking about something different.

Lets say, I uploaded a file name xyz.rar & I want to make it's backup copy, 1 for public & 1 for private. I hope sibsoft will add this in the next release.

Regards

If users files are deleted, they can make new copy & send link again without uploading it again.

users will keep making copies, just before they are going to be deleted & hence the old files will just take lot of space on ur servers

it can be useful, but can be easily misused

ankurs, the file remains to the same, the link to it is copied only.

It is really useful function!

dile
No Users Matched Your Query

file1 uploaded on 1st Jan
file is copied on 29th Jan as file 2

File1 is deleted on 1st Feb with zero downloads , but file2 still stays on for 30 more days

hence taking using valuable hdd space !

ankurs, Thanks for your answer.

The file is not copied 2 times.
The second (other) link to it is generated only.

The link #1 should have the same properties, as well as the link #2 and to have the same period of a life.

It will troubleshoot :))
