My question is :
If i want to give my costumers 10GB storage space on their accounts
and for example i have 500.000 registered users on my website.
and I have 2 dedicated servers does that mean i need 500.000 X 10GB = 5 million GB Hard disk on my dedicated server ? that is way to high.
Please could someone explain me how it works.
Thanks.

You do not need 500.000 times 10 gb = 5 000 000 gb storage as your users will never all use that 10 gb
You can just say you give them 10 gb each, if your current harddrive( as a start maybe 1 TB) is full, you just buy another one and install it as a new fileserver for xfilesharing(you can have unlimited fileservers)

That's up to you. Each new HDD - is new file server (in terms of Xfilesharing) and no matter where it will be located, on separate physical server or on separate HDD on your existing server.ruben wrote:hhmm i get it thanks. so if my hard disk is full i need to rent another dedicated server ? or could i just buy hard disk space ?
