Direct Links - Help

#1 Postby skawke » May 28, 2010 6:50 am

I'm trying to figure out a way to disable the direct link anchoring to one IP only.
I'd like a thing where my friend can generate the direct link, send it to me, and I can download it directly from my servers. In the current setup, whenever my friend send me the direct link, it redirects me back to the homepage.

Btw, the direct link looks like this: www.xx.com/files/1/kdbfgjkbdg/text.txt

Any help?

direct link is gerenrated for each ip , so your frnd needs to generate his own using the download page

you can disable from Settings > Files > Allow download from , there select All

Don't have one yet - but I'm hosting it on a subdomain. www.xx.asnflknsa.com

I also used to use the free version, but I'm planning to buy the pro when I register my website, which is why I'm posting here.

I'm still trying to figure out how to makes the generated direct links for EVERYONE, not just a single IP.

This forum is only for licensed Pro users. Your domain is not resoling, so moving to "Free" topic for now.

not sure if the free version got that option as i use the pro version

the pro version got the option for sure to allow from every ip or from certain ip blocks ( 255.255.0.0 or 255.255.255.0 or 255.255.255.255)

if it exist then you need to be able to find it in the admin panel by the file settings

if you do not have that page then you need to manual mess around in the script to disable it :D
but i can not help you with it (not even sure if it is allowed ^^)
