Error Gnerating download link

#1 Postby Teddy » May 31, 2011 1:52 am

I'm getting an error when trying to download any file...

Error happened when generating Download Link.

I searched the forum and there are similar issues but I couldn't find a fix. I googled the error and it seems a lot of people have had this problem. Is this a xFilesharing Pro bug? It was working fine and then it just stopped working. I just bought the script a few days ago and it only worked for about 3 days. Other people also say that it just stopped working for them too.

Can someone please help?

- UPDATE -

I deleted the server and tried to added it again to see if that would fix the problem that I;m having but now I can't add the server.

Code: Select all

File Server tests:
api.cgi: OK
ERROR: fs_key is wrong or not empty
upload.cgi: OK
htdocs URL accessibility: OK

Sorry to be the only one posting here but I solved the problem.

I opened XFSConfig.cgi and deleted the Fs_Key then added the server again and now I can download. I hope it doesn't happen again I still don't know what caused it.

Seems to be a bug

I dont think so. Most likely you tried to edit something in file server config or changed permissions of temp/upload/files folders and got an error.

zafar1, you're commenting each forum thread with absolutely useless comments. That's last warning for you. You will be banned if you will continue doing this.

Error details says script can't create subfolders for temp download link. Make sure you run cron.pl every 30 mins in crontab. Cause it cleanup this /files/ folder from temp links.

PS: this poll is very stupid ;)
