Feature requests

#1 Postby admin » Aug 18, 2011 2:02 pm

Post your feature requests here. Be as much specific as possible and do not request new file sharing sites here - we will have separate topic for that.

You should have a support for your own XFS script on this platform :)

It'd be great to allow a registered to user to set their preferred filehost to download from, so when they visit a download link it'd forward them on automatically to that host providing the file has been successfully uploaded to it; if not, it'd fail gracefully back to the list of mirrors.

The forwarded page should still include the iFrame'd advertisements spot, though I feel it shouldn't be subjected to the time-limit; that's my personal preference however.

This would deter popular file-sharing forums from banning posts linking to file-mirroring sites as they don't like the fact we can fill our sites with ad's, making it mine field to navigate before the user actually obtains the download.

Keep up the good work Sibsoft!

I second this!

Though I realise this would need to be a pay'd for addition, of which I'd be happy to pay for.

Thanks for suggestions

As for time countdown on page with iframe - it can be disabled by setting 0 in admin settings.

That's technically possible, but there's some ethical problems :) Not all xfilesharing site owners will want to allow leeching/automatic mirroring on their sites.

A very good point, I wasn't actually thinking that however; I got confused it seems with what chrda was suggesting.

I was thinking, having instead of the standard progress bar upload to use Xupload instead; it seems a much cooler progress tracking solution.

Such progress bar will cause higher load on your server.

Fair enough, I didn't know whether you'd left out the more advanced uploader because it'd perhaps clash with your other products or whether there was a technical reason; now I know :)

Many thanks!

Any chance when we delete a file, instead of it simply then reporting a 404/Not Found, can it say it's been removed by request of the IP owner?

Cheers.

What do you mean by protect?
You think that links like http://xfilemirror.com/ob7pn5fym0l8 are not enough protected?
