How to link a new XFS installation with an old File Server?

#1 Postby alex.sa » Jul 23, 2016 11:58 am

Recently I had problems with my main server and lost all data.

When trying to rebuild the site, I noticed that my backup of the database was corrupted.

In this way I will need to do a fresh install of XFileSharing.

So if it's possible. I would like to know how to link this new installation to my old data server. To be no need to re-upload the files.

Thanks for listening.

if you've lost database completely - then you can only import files from "uploads" folder. But that will be almost useless set of files, as there will be no file names, extensions, etc.

But if you have "Files" table, then you can try to import files from that file server manually into new db. You have to transfer all records with particular server id from old database to the new one.
