How to play only FLV files.

#1 Postby nkchokshi » Jun 07, 2013 6:57 am

I have server.

I saw that when people are streaming MKV, and avi files it takes more bandwidth, and load. then FLV.

Is it possible to disable MKV ,AVI playing file and just play FLV & MP4.

Or is it possible

All videos get converted into FLV, so i dont need to disable videos.

Please let me know.

Yes depending on your settings, it will be converted to flv or mp4.

Also if you can help me out with.

I am currently hosting on VPS, but i will need a Dedicated.

I am looking at following configuration.

Intel Xeon E3-1270 Quad Core
3.40 GHZ 16 GB DDR3 1 TB SATA
Bandwidth :10 TB

Will it be oky? for handling daily 2000-5000 ppl traffic?

should be fine if you expect only 5000 users a day

but if all those users want to download 1gb/day then your bandwidth will finish in 2 days
