guys! do you think paypal is stupid?

paypal knows IP, MAC and click behaviour!!!

if you want to register a new paypal account and not getting banned:

get a new computer, different internet provider and do not use the same names for the new account.

and probably they blacklisted your website url then you have no chance...

Man.. look at the reason for the limitation, that's stupid... also, they don't ban an entire household because of a customer.
I opened an account on my sister's name, added her credit card and got verified, after few days the account got limited for that stupid reason that is not related to anything.

Just signed up to post this

PayPal permanently limited my 14 year old account. Over those years I have probably processed half a million dollars in payments and have paid tens of thousands in PayPal fees. Never had an issue.

Then I accepted ONE $10 payment for a new file sharing site and out of nowhere they permanently disabled my account and suspended me from using PayPal ever again. It was my mistake of not reading the updated Terms of Service but you would think they would give me a warning or at least let me appeal.

I have several other businesses that comply with their Terms of Service and now they crippled my entire business because I'm unable to process PayPal transactions for the other sites.

Thanks PayPal!

By the way, I have not even attempted to appeal it. From what I've read all over the internet they won't even look into it or listen to what anyone says

I doubt they would even consider that I have a very long standing account with a long history

Has anyone ever successfully appealed a "permanent limitation"

What I don't get is why PayPal still put "File sharing websites" on their pre-approved list if they don't accept file sharing websites anymore...

Investopedia explains 'Pre-Approval'
The pre-approval process involves a confirmation of income and a credit check on the borrower. As long as no major income or credit changes occur between the time of pre-approval and the actual purchase of a home, the dollar amount of pre-approval can be expected to remain the same. The process may take anywhere from a few minutes (for an online lending application) to a couple of weeks. A nonrefundable fee may be charged for the process.

Not true, my brother and my father both have a verified PayPal account, we use the same IP, and we sometime login from the same computer, their accounts are not limited.

Well yeah, but I just wanted to say that PayPal don't ban users that using the same IP, they only ban people by their name and address.
