I already trial to download. First with IP : 125.60.122.2 and then I paused download and restart modem to change IP to 125.60.120.48

The download can not be resume with nginx.
I should start new beginning download again, that is waste time right for premium account I think.

What should I do Ankurs?
I hope there is answer issue for this problem
I hope admin already read my mail.

Can you not change the restrict download ip setting? Go to Allow download from under the Settings -> files tab and change accordingly.

Send email to [email protected]
Specify your root access to fileservers using nginx, so we can fix it.

Did you manage to fix this? If so - what was the fix?

Did you already check the nginx services in your hosting control panel does the services is up or not? Since cpanel sometimes have a problems with it when you tried to integrated, also does you already add the nginx cron in your cronjob?

I'm not really sure what you mean but I have searched the forum endlessly for the fix to this problem to no avail. All of these threads discuss this issue:

Code: Select all

http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/wrong-ip-when-trying-to-download-t1357.html?highlight=wrong
http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/users-with-dynamic-ip-not-able-to-download-t1341.html
http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/downloads-dont-work-in-middle-east-asia-s-wrong-ip-proble-t1701.html?highlight=wrong
http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/problem-thread-for-xfs-1-6-t1614.html?highlight=wrong
http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/hotlinking-hack-t1716.html?highlight=wrong
http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/nginx-server-with-no-wrong-ip-but-there-s-another-issue-t2825.html?highlight=wrong
http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/nginx-problem-t2695.html?highlight=wrong
http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/wrong-ip-error-t2399.html?highlight=wrong
And not a single one provides a fix for the issue. The only offer of advice to work around the issue was to code out the lines in api.cgi

Code: Select all

print FILE "RewriteEngine on\nRewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^$ip\$\nRewriteRule ^.*\$ $c->{site_url}/404.html";
but this does not work either.

So I really am curious as to what everyone is doing about this problem? Is everyone just ignoring it like it isn't happening? I know I am not the only person that is getting negative feedback from customers when they purchase a premium membership and then can not download files.

Seriously, does anyone seem to care about this problem?

You can remove nginx ip protection by editing the download.pm in /usr/local/nginx/perl/

But if you dont understand the code that is there, dont touch it.

Hey chrda,

This has been happening to my members that are in the US and UK. There are several that said they use America Online and were getting the wrong IP error. The others use various other ISPs in the United States. To be honest, I don't believe I have received a single complaint from anyone that is from Asia getting the error, they have all been from the US and UK.
