kloxo vs cpanel

is there any benefit in using cpanel compared to kloxo? should i just use kloxo for running xfilesharing pro?

Hello,

No, no need of any control panel. Especially on file server. However, if you have little experience of ssh, no need of any control panel on main server too.

am not much familiar with ssh. but with your reply i assume kloxo will be fine.. thanks :)

no, don't go with kloxo. It's resource hog.

Go without any control panel. You never need control panel.

personaly i preffer cpanel for basic instalation and basic configuration

my own fileserver is running with cpanel just to get the right settings and mods with out the hassle of ssh to install all the mods

and for your cpu hog ..

i need to say , i use a other server for my webserver to , so this is only my fileserver

my suggestion
install a trial of cpanel , configure the settings to what you need and thats all you need

Can you guide me how to create a file server without control panel please?

Login to ssh

install all softwares required

if you have centos use yum command

yum install apache

& so on (Little Google will help you)

/var/www will be your too path instead of public_html
