File servers 'node'?
I have come across the term node, and from what i am aware of it distributes connection or files among several file servers. Atm, if one file on one of my file servers gets loads of downloads, then the whole server gets slogged down, even if other servers are running great. Is this 'node' method awa...

The front end server does not have to be in the same datacenter, no. You wont need any more bandwidth than what you would need on a normal server, but ir depends on how much traffic you are getting. If you are just starting off, then a medium sized vps should be more than enough. Disk space shouldnt...

High load on index_dl.cgi
On my main server, I am getting about 90% cpu load, mostly from index_dl.cgi.
What is this file used for? Is there anyway I could lower the load on this file?

Website Taking Ages to Load
Since a large increase in traffic, my main site server is taking an average of about 10-14 seconds to load! The site gets about 35,000 visitors a day, but should this really be causing a VPS to be overloading? My RAM usage is never being bottlenecked at all. Do you think the visitors is the main rea...

File Servers File Distribution
If I were to add multiple file server, would uploaded files be randomly distributed between the servers, or would it fill up one, the move onto the next.
If it randomly selects a server, that would be very beneficial to spread server resources evenly. Is this the case?

Problems Uploading Big Files
I am experiencing a very problematic issue when people try to upload large files (500mb+++). The progress bar just freezes most of the time at a random percentage, and the upload does not complete. I am not really sure at all what could be causing big uploads to simply freeze before being completed....
