new idea : username change request

#1 Postby PowerChaos » Aug 01, 2010 4:27 pm

hi all

what you think of this idea ??

if a user buys a premium account (auto generated for example)

that they can change there username (second login name as example)

to provide the complete example of what i mean

user test buys a second premium account

the second premium account is called 123456

first time he login to 123456 then he get a option to change his username

he like to change it to username test1

from that moment he will be able to login with test1 or 123456

if he denie the username change then he wont get a second option anmymore

for security ofcourse does it need to check if that username already exist

then a last option

allow users to login with there email (not sure if that works when they ask for a second premium account)

I've implemented it like this for 1.9: user will be able to change only digits-only login, and change it to mixed (letters+digits) login.
I think such logic is pretty simple and nice.
