New project. Need your feedback.

#1 Postby admin » May 05, 2011 6:27 am

Hello everyone!

We're currently working on a new project which is called XFileMirror - file mirroring script which is uploading files onto different file sharing services.

Here's first alpha version: http://xfilemirror.com

Feel free to post your feedback and feature requests here. We will consider all of them.

Thanks

Yes, we're going to add proxy support.

Which hosts failed for you? As I see, you were uploading 1 file on Megaupload only. But you didn't selected host for 2 other files you tried to upload. We will add javascript check, so it will be impossible to submit form without selecting at least one host.

Yeah, there are few problems with rapidshare and zshare - fixing them now. I will let you know when done.

Looks like rapidshare do not like our server :) We've managed it working through proxy.

I get a Server not found message in Firefox.

Quick question though, there are a lot of these file mirroring services as it is. Wouldn't it be better to include this as a mod to xfilesharing pro instead of a whole new project all together?

We had similar idea before. But it's a bit different approach - it's not storing files on server. And if someone wants to run mirroring site - xfilesharing will be too complicated and "heavy" for such simple task.

Strange. Looks like DNS problem. We've removed faulty NS server from this domain - should work fine.

As for release - not sure when exactly (however, if you need it - we can give you personal deal). We're planning to add some more features. You're welcome with your suggestions.

I would be very interested in this script if it becomes available i already have 2 similar sites setup http://www.mirrorthe.net and also http://www.rapidthe.net that i could use the script on.so if you either need beta testers or when the script is finished i may well be tempted to buy the script.

Keep us updated if you could .Thanks

Strange, we've tested it around the world and it's accessible. Can you show result of your traceroute to xfilemirror.com? Or it's not even resolving?

As for your question - yes, people can register there and set their premium accounts. If premium account is not set - then file will be uploaded anonymously OR using admin's premium account (that's an option in admin settings).

Of course we will add more sites later. Now our goal is functionality. Then we will add as many sites as possible.
