Nginx problem

#1 Postby Arthur » Oct 15, 2010 4:24 pm

Some of my users get "Failed to connect/load" or "wrong ip" errors when downloading with nginx mod on. Anybody else had this issue and fixed it?

change the "Allow download from" settings to "All IPs" , if you are using 1.8 , if its below that then you wil need to change manually in your FS

Its always been on ALL IPS. How can I change it manually for each file server. What do I need to change in the config file.

I do allow all IPs and it still has the same problem. Unless I have to go to each file server and manually change something to have it all IPs. I am running 1.8 and i just go settings and check mark all ips and save.

Hmm well what I am thinking is maybe when nginx mod is on its over riding the "all ip" setting in each file server. There is gotta be a way to fix this and for some reason the admins are not replying back to me anymore..

issue with some users might be that they are behind proxy

http://xfssite/cgi-bin/env.cgi send that url to the users..
ask them to email all info back to you.

What info your after is HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR : IP

If you get IP1, IP2 that might be the reason..

Email to [email protected] with your fileservers root details, we will "fix" nginx engine to accept all IPs.
