bigbuffertv:

I tried XFS Pro 1.7 under mod_perl for a week ...

The XFS Pro 1.7 source is not ready to run well under ModPerl::PerlRun
(many warnings about variables will not stay shared, apache startup becomes flaky, 10% connection failure, but 3x faster than plain cgi), and will not work at all under ModPerl::Registry (segfaults).

It would take about a day for the author, who has the complete
source code, to fix most things, so wait for the next release.

You can see an official response from Alex at the end of this thread:

http://www.sibsoft.net/forum/xfs-pro-mo ... t2056.html

If you're an experienced Perl programmer and want to share notes on
this topic, add a post with some detailed info on your testing and I will
do likewise.

Alex: Let me know if you want me to do any mod_perl beta testing support on Centos 5.4 x64 with apache 2.x.

Thanks, mrperl.
