cron.pl might be temporarily down - please help

hello there i have error said

/cgi-bin/cron.pl might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Just tried to execute it on your server - everything is fine.

everything is ok with my server and my website working good but so high load when much traffic

and when any of my hard disk have more than 350 GB file's load gonna to be 200 and 300 eventho i have CPU 16 core

did think maybe load because cron not working ?

if you are using apache then the load prevents apache from executing ( mostly happends at 21% , depends on the settings of apache and when it need to waits and what priority it has and so on)

if your server load is just to high then apache can not execute anymore and provide those problems

if you got a dual core , a 16 core or any other kind of server does not mather

it all depends on the load and where the load is coming from , if apache can not execute because of high load do you need to search for a solution to limit the load or to lower the load

try to keep your cpu under 10% and everything will be fine
