Website become slow

#1 Postby Azmatik » Aug 09, 2013 5:58 pm

Hello ,

I'm using a dedicated server for my website ,

CPU : Intel® Core™ i7-4770 Quad-Core Haswell

RAM : 32 GB DDR3 RAM

Hard Drive : 2 x 2 TB 6 Gb/s SATA7200 rpm HDD Software-RAID 1

Connection : 100 MBit/s-Port

Guaranteed Bandwidth : 200 MBit/s

but the website become very slow in some hours of the day and sometimes unavailable , the unique visitors number doesn't exceed 2500-3000 v/day . What could be the problem ?

Thanks

disk is a bottle neck in above config , get 4x or 8x sata

200mbit over 100mbit ?

using apache ? get a system administrator and have it optimized along with mysql conf

I suggest you buy a vps to host the site and use this server only as a fileserver, however during the peak hours the server uses all 200Mbps?
what is your provider? you also have nginx mod? and you have installed some type of control panel in the server? (cpanel etc.).
