Still waiting support on torrent leecher

#1 Postby Hendrickson » Mar 06, 2010 1:20 pm

Its been weeks now and I've gotten as far as Art via support saying he would take a look at my server to fix the torrent leecher. That was about 6 days ago. How long takes it take to get support?

I've paid 90 dollars for this mod that hasn't been working very good for the last 4 weeks. I can't get it to work on my other server and the one it works on is only for an hour then it turns off. I'm not happy......Support is just getting worse?

Hi.

While waiting for support, some suggestions are:

1) check your logfiles for any issues

2) if you have source code for the mod, open a text file in perl
and add some debugging logging statements to see what's happening.

The source code is very readable, so if you have any programming
experience at all you should be able to log enough to pinpoint where
the problem is and update this thread.

Thanks, mrperl.

I've tried all that, I have used the logger and it shows nothing. Just the bitflu.pl start fine and loops over and over.

In .bitflu.config file there's line:

Code: Select all

logfile =

specify log file:

Code: Select all

logfile                   =  ./bitflu.log
Then take a look what's wrong in this log file.

Done that. It shows me nothing, that bitflu starts and keep looping the start up. No idea. Art said about 11 days ago he would look at my server. I've heard nothing since. Not the best support at all...

Are you getting an error? What error? 500, 404?

No error, I can't get bitflu started on one server, it keeps looping in the error log and never starts properly.

It will say started and give me a PID number. However in the torrents screen it says disabled. Bitflu error log reports no error only looping the start up proceeder over and over.

Yes, looks like strange problem. never saw it before. Instead of flooding forum, send ssh access to support, we will take a look.

Oh that's exactly what I have done, many times I've sent emails and ssh access to Art. No reply....
