Mr_parham, why do you have a 10gbps server when you are only using 100mbps? Is this a brand new server that is still not in use?

Just curious.

Thanks for sharing. I am curious if it will only help the db/site performance or will it be better for the file serving from cache as well (less i/o to worry about)

i dont know what exactly it helped, when i stop it my average load rises fast.
but i have the db and filesistem on the same server, so i dont know who is benefiting the most, i think both.
if i remember correctly my HDD was busy but after that it staid to few percents.
you can always stop it/remove it if you dont see any improvements.

Sound looks good. If this service can selecet automaticly, populer files for store on memchahed Ram section, it must decrease my Disk IO and fix my disk high load problem :)

I will test on my storage server.

sherayusuf3: 8000 concurrent request on a 657Mbps out? What are they downloading? Most video files run at 500kbps to 1mbps so at that output only 1200 concurrent connections are possible?

Hey, can anybody help me with my atop result? http://www.abload.de/img/clipboard0153j64.png

Seems like my hdds are very busy, how can I fix this? Better put more hdds to the server or better buy a complete new server? The HDD is only 65 % filled with data...
Current Setup with this one is:

Intel Xeon W3520
4x 2.66+ GHz
24 GB DDR3
2x 2000 GB HDD
RAID Soft 0/1
Speed 1 Gbps

Thanks for your help
