hello. i need more info regarding multi server.
My need is this:
server1 (main) with XFS installed, on datacenter 1. like in asia
server2...3...4 (storage) in datacenter, example in africa
when user login and upload file, are stored in africa. so your script use ip of storage server?
but when they donwload, files are downloaded from africa or using server1? offcourse that i need the first solution, so the only bandwith used is from the storare. but when user download, what link see? thirs level domain like download.sharingsite.com ?
the question is because the server 1 have lees bandwith.

Server2 links will be downloaded directly from Server2.
very good.
so if the main site is www.filesharing.com the url of downloads are s1.filesharing.com/filename ?
Yep, I run my main site on a 512MB VPS with 70k+ downloads.
However I do have mods running. Letting nginx take care of the downloads instead of XFS will speed it up quite a bit.
The nginx mod is for the file servers but plays a part in how the main server will process downloads. Without nginx it is possible for the download page to timeout, especially if you have lots of downloads.

It was a good point. But when come to licensing. Putting vps is to host xfs site while server 2 is for storage, do we need to have 2 license xfs?
I try to look at xfs admin site demo but seems server section is not available.
Could someone share how this can in place and which effort or approach should be place and configure to minimal the cost while increasing the performance?
In this case i assume all processing will be take place in server 2 instead on the vps right?
