Varnish (software)

#1 Postby Jesse202 » Jan 30, 2013 2:11 pm

Anyone have any good luck with this? Guess I can't use the FCGI because I run reguests through a php file. So looking at this as an option to speed things up some for the main server.

varnish is used mainly to serve static content only

if you want to speed up, contact support for nginx install on your main server

They wont touch it. I run all index.cgi files through a php file for a script i need on the server that relies on .htaccess to function.

cluster the webs is usually a good solution, all connection to a standalone/cluster mysql solution.

are you using blockscript ?

you should be able to rewrite your .htaccess rules to nginx OR just get litespeed

also as chrda said, just install a few front end web servers with a clustered mysql
