I have tried your demo and do not have the problem.

I am having issues also with the progress/status of uploads. I do get uploaded file but never see status during upload progress. No matter which option is selected to show status during upload. I have searched forum and tried many of the tweaks listed but may still just be missing something right in...

my host company requires perl files to have extension .pl, I am not a programmer so forgive my ignorance. Can I just change the filename for xuploadconfig.pm to xuploadconfig.pl? thanks, and this will probably lead to more questions...
