About
XFileSharing Pro is SibSoft's professional, high-performance file sharing script — a complete file hosting solution. It is a self-hosted file hosting script built for running a public file hosting service at scale, and just as well for professional use: private storage for your company, a file service for your community, or downloads for your own website.
Since 2006, the leading file hosting sites have been built on XFileSharing. Twenty years of running under real high-traffic loads shaped every part of the script, from upload handling to download delivery.

How it works
Every site running this file sharing script has three layers:
- Main server. Runs the website, user accounts, payments and the admin panel.
- File servers. Store and deliver the files. Add as many as your traffic needs, in any data center and any country. Files move between servers in a background queue, so you can rebalance storage without downtime.
- Remote storage (S3). Keep files in S3-compatible cloud storage alongside your own servers or instead of them: Amazon S3, Wasabi, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Hetzner, OVHcloud, Scaleway, Contabo and IDrive e2.
The main server only coordinates. Heavy traffic goes straight from the file servers and storage to your visitors, so the site keeps up as it grows.
Ways to earn
- Premium accounts. Free users get speed and wait limits, premium users download at full speed. You set the plans and prices.
- Coupons. Promotional codes for premium plans.
- Affiliate program. Uploaders earn for the downloads and premium sales they bring, which turns your users into your marketing team.
- Advertising. Ad slots on download pages and across the site.
Key features
- Our own FTP server. XFileSharing doesn't use a standard FTP daemon. Its own FTP server spreads uploads evenly across your file servers as they arrive, instead of collecting everything on one server and moving files afterwards. Uploads support resume.
- Custom-built Nginx. Downloads are served by our own Nginx build, not a stock package: patched, extended with custom modules and tuned for maximum throughput, and for accurate counting of traffic and downloads.
- FastCGI. The site itself runs under FastCGI for high request rates on the main server.
- Single-page interface. The user area works as a single-page application, so uploads continue in the background while users browse, manage files or start new uploads.
- Full Cloudflare support. Works behind Cloudflare and supports its caching for both uploads and downloads.
- Unlimited file servers and S3 storage, with background transfers between them.
- Remote URL upload and torrent downloads.
- Multi-language interface with right-to-left support and editable HTML templates.
- Full admin control: statistics, user and file management, abuse handling, IP bans, antivirus check.
