XFileSharing Pro - How do you monitize? - Page 2
It will be harder and harder to monetize XFS sites.
To run CPM ads you need a high percentage of traffic from North America, and western europe.
CPA networks like xtend matomy and other right media networks will pay low and have low quality ads like the downloads buttons.
Premium accounts might be the way to go, but then you need to fight paypal..
Some experimental ways are to use CPA offers to get premium accounts.
User need to do 3 CPA offers to get 1 month premium. etc
But this demands some small programming on the xfs code.
A little tip is to make sure your site looks as legit as possible, use some cash to make the template look professional instead of going the cheapest route that many of the XFS owners do.

There isnt many premium networks that accept file hostings.
And you need good traffic like us/uk/au/ca and western europe to even get okey enough numbers.
There is some CPA offers that will do good with filehosting that could be runned before remnant cpm traffic.
But you have to make your users install malware.
You can easy make 1-3$ CPM if done right.
I see that .fr traffic is doing good on the CPM market these days

Hi,
nice thread. I would like also to know how you monitor your XFS System?
The build in Stats are a litte bit silly. You can´t see all Free user downloads, and no chance to monitor Jdownloader downloads also.
I know some of you think Jdownloader is evil, but I think its neccessary to have support for it.
A quick overview. In xfs I have only 10 downloads monitored, But my server says about 8569 MB traffic this day. When I subtract the 10 monitored downloads, still 6500 MB traffic are missing. Did the counter of XFS only count real Webbrowser visits? I see in the log files, all the traffic is done by apache, so why we can´t monitor all downloads?
Or can you say a good possibility to monitor the complete traffic?

afaik xfs adds the traffic for each generated link, this value from admin_stats is always a bit higher than my actual traffic (I use xfs 1.5 though)
'But my server says about 8569 MB traffic this day.' Where does your server say this? in mrtg (hardware monitoring) or cpanel(estimation)
I have a simple method of measuring jdownloader traffic (2 download pages, not 3)
downloads in xfs stats - (Ad page impressions / 2)
16000 - 9600 = 6400 jdownloader downloads or 40% for me yesterday
