I had exactly the same problem with 3.0
I tried everything (including things suggested by the support here) but in the end I just had to use a pop-up window for the upload page which preserved the original frames page.

Ok, I have now purchased XUpload 3.0 and it has solved most of the problems. Now all I need to do is find out why the upload status bar stops after about 2 seconds (about 8 or 9% finished) and then hangs till the download is finished. It did not do this on the free version.
