VLC player tells me the codecs are:

Stream 1: H264 and
Stream 2 : mpga

Is this whats causing the divx player not being generated?

Its still an avi file as I mentioned above.

I downloading a few of them, to test , the extension is .avi now they might have different codec.

I've noticed that many uploads, especially under 200mb in size don't generate a divx player, instead a direct link is generated.
