On file server #1, the disk space is almost full, I want to move some of the bigger files to file server #2.
I notice the folder structure is:
00000
00001
etc.
I am going to move the file to the other server and change the server ID in the database entry.
If the file in file server #1 is in 00001 and I move it to file server #2 in 00000:
Will downloading using dl.cgi still work?
Will it still generate direct link correctly?
Will the "5000 maximum files per folder" still work correctly when uploading?
Will deleting the file still work?
Will it still pass the file-to-db and db-to-file check?

I would assume that this will work - it does when you change servers
So, if you go into your database and change the server from 1 to 2 for the file you have transferred then it will work
That is, in your database you will see a table called srv_id
Change that and then run your consistency checks
Good luck
