I am looking to close my website due to heavy costs and low profits compared to cost from file servers and affiliates, I really need an advice because there is huge traffic and its sad to loose it.

Close website? change the website to take advantage of traffic?

Any advices are welcome.

Not surprising, many sites are closed already, check the sites using xfilesharing pro thread, like 99% of them are closed.

I may be able to take it off your hands, please email me the details

What kind of advertising do you use? what are the costs of the servers and all things. where from do you get the most traffic?

Profits are equal to costs pretty much, just needs someone experienced to really take advantage of the very large traffic to make it more premium upgrades...etc.

Or I was thinking to switch it to some other business just to capture the traffic... my email is: [email protected]

Any advices would be helpful to me.

I think I know what site you are talking about. I will write about some advice for you.

Site profit/expense is about the same, it will be hard to get much money with it selling based on these additional points:

(1) Expense is high over $1000, very risky to risk that much money every month for $0 profit.
(2) Over 80% of revenue from AdSense, very risky since there are so many adult and illegal files being shared. They can cut you off anytime and since it is net30, if they cut you off, you can lose as much as nearly 2 months revenue.
(3) You have obligation to provide the premium users with what they bought like 1 year premium account.
(4) As for how valuable the registered users are:
a. Pay for download to bring in traffic, you stop paying, the site dies (low value)
b. You have email of the users interested in making money via file downloads but those emails are not valuable as any new site promising high payouts can acquire those users (low value)

You should decide if it is viable to keep it open, close it, or sell it. Keep in mind by keep it open, you are risking over $1000 every month to earn nothing. Best advice is sell it but whoever is new owner also have to risk over $1000 every month to earn nothing.

Most sites using adsense eventually get kick out, you can verify by checking the longest running sites.

Hope this helps.

i am maybe intrested in a second site , but not sure of it eather (my site is barely running :S)

if you can spend the time and the money on it then it will become profitable , but it just takes time and it is a high startup cost basicly

then a note to google ads , i am banned 2X from it

first time i am banned for click fraude (1 of my clan members clicked a few times on it and i get banned , was a long time ago)

second time i am banned again for clickfraude (site with 1.5 mill visitors , after payment request of 600$ dit i get banned , earned that amount in about 2month , complained and putted a laywer on it and now i earn free coupon codes from it every month , so still losing 10€ per month if i like to use the coupon codes)

then a note to binlayer
it is indeed a nice site , but why does no1 read a tos ??

Code: Select all

§2.3.7 Following services and websites are excluded from the Publisher program:
- Websites that are offering downloads of youth endangering content and/or licensed- and copyrighted media material in vision, text or sound or refer to those downloads
- If you deliver ads on websites of your users / members
- Torrent- and Webwarez pages, download search engines, crack pages, Serial pages, adult, image- and filehosting, streamhosting, websites without in Germany existing legal valid Imprint, derefferer, link encryption, file services
- Paid4-, junk- and so called “forwardingâ€￾-sites
- Paidmailer, in currency convertible credit- and - collecting systems, services where website users have to promote the website to get special content, Mail exchange systems, Layert exchange ystems, Banner exchange systems, Paid- counter, Paid4 provider lists
- Websites with stream of visitors from websites mentioned above as well as forced traffic
so far i can read does this script act as a file host or image host or a other kind of host that store big amount of stuff ... seems not to be allowed so signing up there is useless

it is hard to find a good advertiser that is willing to pay out , i tryed 30 differend providers to get running on a proxy site , every time i founded a good 1 then i get banned after payment request because of that clickfraude that they claim to be (they never heard of the setting to count 1 click per unic user per 24 hours or so ?? )

so my solution was to start up my own adsite (failt) and now i got my own adsystem and banner selling service for the website ( still no succes)

the point i mean , ads are hard

Powerchaos, go for advertisers that use cost per action or cpm to avoid clickfraude kicks

for example;

be sure to check the ads once in a while yourself if you go with those `less good ad networks` as they are not exactly suitable for all audiences or could contain exploits

I myself have been running cpx on a copyright infringing website for 3 years and they always paid.
Also, run more than one network at a time
