api.cgi error

#1 Postby Nick » Mar 08, 2009 6:39 am

Hello,

I have moved the script to a windows server and upon adding the first server I get an api.cgi error.

The apache logs shows this:

Code: Select all

[Sun Mar 08 16:32:57 2009] [error] [client (hidden IP)] [Sun Mar  8 16:32:57 2009] api.cgi: The symlink function is unimplemented at E:/htdocs/www.self-share.com/cgi-bin/api.cgi line 245.

The apache server has the FollowSymLinks specified in the <Directory> option in httpd.conf.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Nick

***Later edit***

I've upgraded to version 1.3 and now I have this error:

Can't locate loadable object for module WSD::Filter in @INC

Tried to install it using PPM but it can't find this module at all.

Used the Session.pm file from 1.2 and I can open the site but can't login.
I input the user/password, the site refreshes but nothing happens (no errors in Apache logs).

No replies ... my past experience tells me that support of XFileSharing Pro is prompt and quality oriented but I have my site down for quite some time and I have no answer on this post from its creators/maintainers.

Has something changed since I've purchased this software (August 2008)? Do I have to pay for your attention?

Regards,

Nick

Thank you for your reply.

Used the new Session.pm you sent but upon adding a server I get this error:

Code: Select all

File Server tests:
api.cgi: ERROR (
Software error:

The symlink function is unimplemented at E:/htdocs/www.self-share.com/cgi-bin/api.cgi line 252.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([email protected]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

upload.cgi: OK
htdocs URL accessibility: OK

Apache has the FollowSymLinks specified for the <Directory>.

Thank you,

Nick

Is there a bypass for it or should I go back and host it in Linux?

Found this article: http://techblissonline.com/vista-create ... -symlinks/

I have the mklink command on my server ...
