fast help with mplayer please

you should have gone the managed dedi server way :P

the repositories you are using dont have mplayer

i dont have managed server i buy my server at ovh.de/com....

You better build mplayer from source. That way you can ensure that you got the latest version.
I'm sure there are tutorials on how to do this.

Run this from root console:

for 32-bit linux:

rpm -Uhv http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/i386/rpmforge/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.3.6-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm


for 64-bit linux:

Code: Select all

rpm -Uhv http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/x86_64/rpmforge/RPMS//rpmforge-release-0.3.6-1.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm


then once again

Code: Select all

yum install mplayer
