hi,
it is kinda easy to set that up
you got a config file , in that config file you need to put your url (example
http://boosterking.com)
you can change that to https://boosterking.com and it will redirect you always to ssl
please note , you need to setup ssl corectly in cpanel or apache or whatever websoftware you use to get it to work
how to install that ?? , please follow the guide your host provided you to setup ssl on your system
as xfilesharing works with redirection is it easy to set it up that way
unlike other sites , there you need to put a .htacces file in it to get it to work ( http://ipboys.com <- ssl by htacces , http://ipboys.com/topsites.php <-- no ssl redirection as only page for a example )
if you mean that you want a green bar , then i am affraid that you got hte wrong certificate , as there are a lot of differend certificates (green bar is for company only and cost about 3k - 5k per year)
so to explain it easy again
*open your faforite ftp program (filezilla for example)
*go to your config file
*change the link to https://yourdomain.com
*safe the file
*upload the file
*your site will redirect to https instead of http
here is a example of the config file located at "/public_html/cgi-bin/XFileConfig.pm"
find this line and change it like below
change it to
you will notice that S i putted ?? just leave it like https , the caps i putted is to show you what is changed
if that is changed , then you will see your site on SSL only

green bar (internet explorer) = business = 5k
blue bar = dont know because i never saw it
and yes , there is a difference betwean them
a green color means that you are secured up to 100k
but i dont think you do business like paypall and other stuff that got that huge risk factors with losing money because getting hacked
a good example is paypal , if paypal ever get hacked then they are secured up to XX amount (256 bit ssl secured)
but for a filehosting is 128 bit ssl good enouf (ssl only secure again hacking and phising and browser highjacking and other stuff that can make your transactions to a risk )
basicly ssl means that it is secured so the data from your site goes only to the user , and from the user to your site with encryption
so if you got a blue bar , a red bar or a green bar (was kidding of red bar, because that means invalid ) they doesnt mather
it only depends what you do
if you look at my 2 secured sites ( https://ipboys.com and https://2match.me ) then you wont even see a color
as they are secured certificates of 60$ per year
only good thing and why i use them for those 2 sites is because the first site is a proxy (and some users are smart enouf to abuse the proxy) and the second site is a ads site that i made to show ads on secured sites (non ssl doesnt show on ssl sites )
anyway , the point i mean is that there is no big difference for you
it is a big difference if you are a company that sells stuff for a big amount of money online (visa fraude and so on) like paypal does or some online shops does
games use a ssl to secure your password , give you a safer feeling and makes it less likely that they highjack your password (because encryption)
then to answer your question about 2 differend servers
1 ssl certificate = 1 server (dedicated ip)
if you want to do that on your file server and webserver then you need to change a few things
as above explained , that is for your main site
if you want for your file server then you need to do it this way to
go to your admin panel and then go to servers
like this link below
click on your server or add a new server so you got a link like this
yes , as you can see is this server 2 (second server)
then you see something like this
now fill in this information as this example
as you notice , it is basicly the same as above , just put S after http and your good to go
please note , SSL need a Dedicated ip with out any other site on it , or you need to have a Shared SSL certificate (ask your host for more info)
hopely this can help you
