Load Balancing Main Server

#1 Postby forumhookers » Aug 21, 2013 3:42 pm

Hi,

I do have a huge site which have always 2000 people online and downloading 40tb datas daily.

All things goes fine expect in few hours loads are too high 250+ and then site loads slow.

How to manage these thing? Do i need some high end machines ? or I need more than 1 machine to run mysql alone in seperate machine and files on the other?

You need to know what's causing the issue. Is it CPU or disk load ?

If its CPU the move to dual quad Xeon processor, if its disk io then go with raid10 sata.

If you don't know much about servers, hire a server management company; they can recommend you better than anyone on this forum could.

Ankrus is right - first, check what exactly causing load. You may need fastCGI or mysql tune, rather than one more server.
