nginx = no CGI ?

#1 Postby Fox » Jan 08, 2013 5:28 am

I've setup 2 Apache servers, one as the main web & database and the other as a file server. Everything is working great.

Now we want to launch this as a larger scale hosting business and I have setup 2 nginx servers... however we just discovered that nginx does not natively support CGI. The scripts won't run on the nginx servers.

So what is the solution here? Do we need to install the nginx mods? If so which ones?

Or should we first setup an Apache server and then add the sibsoft nginx mods to the Apache setup?

Thanks for you help!

Hello Admin, do you have an answer for us? I think we'll just start with Apache and go to nginx later when needed... so this is a Mod that you do the install?

Thanks

First of all, you need to understand why and what for you want to use nginx.

We have a big investor and will be launching things on a grand-scale... I just wanted to set things up in advance to take on a large audience.

We're going to need the FTP mod too.
