CommuniMail - External Mail Servers

I am considering using CommuniMail for our mail lists. I woulf like it to run inside my network, but to use our MS Exchange servers for mail delivery.

I have noticed that Mail Sending Settings you can enter a SMTP gateway and Mail host in perl mode. Has anyone had any difficulties with using an external mail server?

It works fine! You need to configure Exchange to permit relying from the box that is running Communimail.

Communimail will not have an Exchange e-mailbox to log into.
