Multiserver?

#1 Postby ryuchix » Jul 22, 2012 2:59 am

Hi there,

I successfully created a main server. Seeing other xfilesharing site, i want to know how to make s1, s2, s3 on their link like
s1.xfilesharing.com/files/4/9z9xnl44pmj9se/video.mp4
s2.xfilesharing.com/files/4/9z9xnl33pmj9se/video.mp4
s3.xfilesharing.com/files/4/9z55nlgkpmj9se/video.mp4

is that a multiserver? and what does multiserver means? different server?

or i just need to create folders and named them s1.s2.s3?

Sorry, im new to this.

you can say multiserver or multi fileservers.

say if you have an ip 1.1.1.1 on your additional server add a subdomain which will point to this ip

s1.yoursite.com will point to 1.1.1.1

Now use this s1.yoursite.com in your "Add new server" section

will it be possible to replace the ip with the subdomain after successfull server setup?

like having 123.456.789 to server4.mydomain.com?

like just edit the url and safe it. or will server make problems? don't want to try it out before I know 100% normally nothing should happen?

I believe there should be no issue.

I have subdomains pointing to other servers which are for storage only.

Just set an A (address) name in your DNS

server1 A 192.168.0.1
