in the INSTALL.README it is nowhere mentioned what mod_rewrite rules need to be written in the .htaccess file. or am i missing somehting?

upload works. but cannot open download links. i guess this is due to some missing rewrite rules.

i also would appreciate more documentation, examples how to customize the layout (step by step instruction example), especially for phpbb board integration.

Rules not missing. They're there, but not working on your host for some reason. That could be caused by server configuration or incorrect paths in config. We already asked you about FTP access (we will fix).

but what type of rules have to go into .htaccess typically related to xfs?
