Best Hosting Provider Suggestions

Hey!
I am running file-sharing site. I'm using XfileSharing script for it. I'm having great trouble with my current host, since it's offshore.
The problem is, when the site gets more than 100 users online, it becomes down, inaccessible. So, please suggest me a good hosting company (offshore would be cool). Actually, I want a powerful file server, the current web server is fine I believe. My budget for file server is around $270.

Some friends told me Online.net have very stick rules for about copyright infringements and it can be kick out you easily like hetzner.

Do you have any experience about it?

i have a few servers with online.net and havent faced any issues so far , most copyright holders will send dmca to your main server

if someone is sending it to your file servers, contact them and ask them to send it to you directly & remove files asap

there is no real offshore anymore, atleast with good network
