How should file-hosting sites act to RIAA e-mails

#1 Postby Hlias » May 07, 2009 1:43 am

It's obvious that the owner/owners of a filehosting site should immediately remove the copyrighted material.
After that will they face any more problmes?
I believe that the majority of the file hosting sites (maybe ALL) have received an e-mail from them.
What i would like to know is if they face anymore problems in the future with them after the removing of the files.
Any personal stories from the members of this forum?

if you act fast on received dmca notice, then it shouldn't be a problem

you just need to find a safe harbor though, bcoz most datacentres dont like getting lot of dmca notices

FDC turned off whole cluster of our servers once after some company emailed copyrighted material restriction to them.

But usually we get 1-2 "Infringing Material" emails daily and remove them in 12 hours. Just mail them back that you've removed links mentioned in email.
