Hi - new user..
In the settings module, in CommuniMail Deamon - can some one explain the Daemon sleep seconds - Pause between CommuniMail daemon cycles fields?
I need to control the number of emails sent per hour - can the program do that?
CommuniMail - send pause??
Re: send pause??
You can control how many emails will be sent within one hour, by adjusting "delay seconds" for mailing campaign. For, example, if you want to send not more than 60 emails per hour, you need to set delay to 60 seconds, so, communimail will send one email every minute.walle wrote:Hi - new user..

more pause
I have set the pause to 60 seconds, one email per minute - but using the Web Based Daemon - it sent 3 test messages in 7 seconds... what is wrong?
Re: more pause
It should send 3 message in 180 seconds. Please give email us your installation details (url, login and password). We will take a look.walle wrote:I have set the pause to 60 seconds, one email per minute - but using the Web Based Daemon - it sent 3 test messages in 7 seconds... what is wrong?

fix
FYI - For testing I was using the Web Based Daemon and wanted a 60 second pause between each email.. If you are sending manually using the "Web Based Daemon" the pause is not set in the "Daemon sleep seconds" in "Settings".
This is set in the send, "new campaign window" using "Send Delay, sec"

Re: Big?
Not sure, each browser have its own "timeout meaning" as I know.walle wrote:Hi Alex,
Can you give me a threshold number for "Big" - the max number of emails - I should use when sending via web based daemon?
Also thanks for your quick help with my cron (error) problem.

At least I'm sure that browser will not wait 5 minutes.
be careful with setting
I had my pause setting at 60 seconds and it caused a real problem.. the app lost the DB connection and would resend the addresses... you have to pay attention to the timeout settings.. Support / Alex helped me adjust the settings to get it working correctly.. every hosting provider has different send rules.. so there cannot be one setting for all.
To test it I created several hundred "bad" addresses on another hosting account , did several tests monitoring the catch-all box.
