Hi All,

My site out of sudden the site loading drop from fast to slow sometime even in-accessible. Trying to troubleshoot and look for the result but end up nothing can be done at this point of time.

Attached is my screenshot of my ATOP.

Your problem: "proc 7894"

What is this process?

Are you referring to 7824 the bitflu.pl?

Having said if i have 4 x 1TB HDD.

By running software raid 10. will this impact my performance of my server?

Here is my server spec:
8 GB RAM (can be upgrade anytime)
4x 1 TB Disk (can upgrade as time goes by)
Dual Xeon E5462 2.8 GHz Quad Core (8 x 2.8 GHz)

you can start with getting a decent hardware raid controller.
And you should have more than 4 disks..

Regular sata disks has 150~ IO
Regular sas disks has 200-300~ IO
and ssd disks has 10000+ IO
Rough numbers :)

Alt of random reads on the disk from a huge amount of users will give you problems when you use something with low IO throughput.

based on what i see is your swap file full or not big enouf ( only 2GB ?? )

so you are using swapfile a lot

other things are fine

also can you check your traffic usage and apache status (if apache )

if a site goes slow has not always to do with the server spects , but sometimes with the programs or how you setted up the server

let me show you a screenshot of my webserver (got 12GB ram and got torrents runnig and shoutcast running and a few other things )

Image

ignore the hd buzzy in my screenshot , it is because it is creating a backup :D

so all things in short
*check apache settings
*tweak mysql
*incrase temp/swap

if those are done , then it should be back fine
your hd's are fine (based on that screenshot) else you should see somehting as on my screenshot if it is your hd (it doesnt slow down my server in my case )
